A couple of weeks ago I began a series on how to enter blog giveaways to try and help people who are new to entering.
In the next week or so, I will help people who’d like to sign up for Twitter and use it to enter blog giveaways, but right now I’m going to put the cart before the horse, so to speak, and address an issue facing people who are signed up for Twitter but aren’t sharing their tweets properly for extra entries in giveaways. (Don’t worry, if you just want to figure out how to sign up and use Twitter, I do have a post coming soon that will be perfect for you!)
A few monthes ago, I wrote a post with some tips of things that you need to do to make your entries valid. One aspect that I covered was how to show the link to your tweet on Twitter.
I know when I began entering giveaways and tweeting that I didn’t know how to get the link to show that I had tweeted the giveaway.
I have found a number of people who are copying and pasting the tweet I have provided ONLY in their entry and telling me that is their entry.
To make your entry valid, you need to provide me with a link to your tweet. That way, if I draw your entry, I can simply click on the link to confirm that you have tweeted because I can see the actual tweet.
Make sense?
Here is how you can provide a link to your tweet:
When you tweet, you will see a timestamp underneath your tweet. Click on that timestamp and this is what will happen.
You can then copy and paste that website address (URL) and tell me that is your daily tweet. It really is that easy!

I remember when I first began entering giveaways I didn’t even have a twitter account. Then I got one and didn’t know how to find my permalink! How nice of you to show your readers how to go about it! I wish I had some hand-holding like this when I began!:)
I didn’t know how to do that! It doesn’t seem very intuitive for those who don’t know to figure out on their own. Thanks!
Thanks! This was helpful.
Thanks!!! I couldn’t figure it out
