With the school year fast approaching (as sad as it makes me – it is almost August!), I was thinking about advice that I’d offer students and parents for the upcoming school year.
I think the best advice I can offer is to establish a routine in the weeks leading up to the new school year. If you try to set up routines (such as school night bedtimes) to close to the start of the school year, it is really difficult to get everyone in sync before school begins and without those routines, the first weeks back can be a nightmare!
