RIP Michael Clarke Duncan

I absolutely hate when I get a news update and discover that an actor I adore has passed away. It is bad enough when the actor is elderly, but to learn an actor in his prime has died saddens me even more.

Tonight I learned that Michael Clarke Duncan passed away.

While some might know him as the boyfriend of Omarosa (as in the infamous Omarosa from The Apprentice, which, I must admit, I didn’t know!), he is best known for his memorable roles on TV and in the movies.

I had most recently enjoyed Michael Clarke Duncan on The Finder last season. Previous to that, I had known him for his hilarious portrayal of a neighbour on Two and a Half Men. His greatest role, in my mind, was as John Coffey in The Green Mile.

At only 54, I am saddened by the fact that, given his talent, he had so many great roles in his future.

RIP Michael Clarke Duncan – you will be missed.

Its really sad. I knew that he had suffered a heart attack in July and that Omarosa had actually saved his life at that time, but I didn’t hear anything else until today! May he Rest In Peace!

I WAS SO SAD AND BEWILDERED BY THIS MANS DEATH. HE WAS SO CHARASMATIC AND SEEMED IN TOO GOOD OF SHAPE TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK. MY FAVORITE ROLE FOR MICHEAL BESIDES THE GREEN MILE WAS IN THE SCORPION KING. I WILL MISS SEEING HIM ON THE BIG AND LITTLE SCREEN.

  3. Jeannette Laframboise says:

Oh no! I loved him, he was amazing and I have seen just about everything he was in. My favorite was The Green Mile. He was just awesome! What a shame… ;-(

  4. Jaimee Mcallister says:

Pretty sad. I didnt quite remember him from much of any show though as Im not too huge into tv. But as always, any death is a sad one.

September 4-I remember Michael in ‘The Green Mile’ and I was very impresses with how he protrayed such a ‘gentle giant’ of a man. It is a protrayal that one remembers because of his wonderful acting and the talent he brought to this role. I say with you, Rest in Peace.-el03ro
