Pedigree Wants You to Adopt a New Family Member

Growing up, we never had pets. Long after we left home, however, my parents brought home a dog. She has been a member of the family ever since — the girls love her and I couldn’t imagine life without her!

There are so many beautiful dogs out there who need a home — I’m hoping that one of you will see Nike and fall and love and want to adopt Nike as your very own!

Nike’s Story:

Nike has been at the shelter since June. He was surrendered by his owner who didn’t want him anymore. Although he is a shy, anxious sweetheart, all the volunteers at the shelter just love him. He has a gentle nature and is afraid of his own shadow and interacts well with other larger dogs but is fearful of small dogs. Nike has the most beautiful coat and loves to be brushed.

Dog Enrichment Volunteer Linda is crazy about this fella and says, “Nike is the sweetest dog in the shelter!! I just love spending time with him. He is so loveable you just want to cuddle with him.” Nike is a quick learner and loves to run in the pen.

The shelter is currently looking for a quiet home for Nike. He is housebroken and is great with children over 12. Although he can be shy at first, he comes out of his shell very nicely.

If you are interested in getting more information on Nike, please contact the Niagara Falls Humane Society at 905-356-4404.

October 25-Nike is indeed a beautiful dog and I know someone out there who loves the dog will give him the good home he deserves. We have had lots of cats and dogs over the years and encourage our adult children to do the same. Thank you for telling us about NIike ans showing us his picture. -el03ro

Awww! What a great story for a handsome boy 🙂
As a pet lover – I am a huge supporter of the local pounds/humane societys and really advocate getting your furry family member from there!

    Thanks for sharing!

I also support adoption rather than buying dogs from breeders.

I would adopt a dog in a second, but where we live right now we aren’t allowed to have them! Which doesn’t really make sense to me because if you have a good owner you usually have a good dog!
