Continuing to Live and Learn – Starting Strong Monday

First off, sometimes I have to relearn the same lesson over and over before I get it right! This week I wasn’t working as hard as I could and not following the eating regime that has worked for me. As a result I gained 2.4 pounds — lesson learned!

I also learned, this week, that my husband was right when he told me I shouldn’t sleep on my stomach – according to CNN.com sleeping on your back is the worst! I highly suggest it as a read for anyone who is wondering what impact each position has!

I also learned that you can burn calories in the most unique ways! Apparently a new study shows that watching horror movies can burn calories! I have to ask — what the heck would inspire someone to do this study? I hope there weren’t government dollars involved!

Happy Monday all!

November 6-Well, Maggie, you have proved that you are just Human-like the rest of us. We strive, we fall and we pick ourselves up and strive again. That ‘s why it is good to know you. You tell it ‘like it is’ and we respect you for that. We have the same struggles and your determination to succeed in spite of setbacks inspires us to do the same. Hugs. el03ro

Thankfully I always sleep on my side. Sleeping on my back always results in vivid nightmares for some reason so I avoid that.

I just read the CNN article. Didn’t know about the pros and cons of the sleeping positions before.

  5. Wow, very interesting points. I learned that about watching my eating regime, as well. I know what works and I laxed. Gained 6 pounds. Ouch. Lesson Learned 🙂

I make it a point to sleep on my side but still keep on waking up on my back 😦

I always sleep on my side, but do wake up on my back a few times during the night!
