Staycation Snack Food from President’s Choice

I must admit that I am a true homebody. While I love traveling and appreciate every chance to see the world, I’m not fond of the actual journey. That’s why the idea of a staycation is ideal for some of this summer’s holidays. And, while there are a lot of ways to enjoy a staycation, food definitely plays a role! As a result, I was pretty excited to see in the Summer Insider’s Report from President’s Choice a number of products that make perfect staycation snack foods!

And we feel like the luckiest people going because we get to try them out!

On the top of the list for the girls is the PC S’Mores Kit! And I just ran across this video about how to make S’Mores on the BBQ that I think the girls will love!

The other huge hit with everyone was the PC Club Pack Milk Chocolate Covered Almonds. First of all, the bag is enormous! And the combination of quality milk chocolate and almonds is surreal! I couldn’t believe how quickly they were eaten (so quick, in fact, that I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture)!

staycation, stay cationMy personal favourites are the PC Sea Salt Pita Crackers and PC Roasted Garlic & Herb Quinoa. While it might sound weird to include quinoa as a snack, I discovered that I really enjoy it cold and that it makes an excellent base for a cold salad (I took my traditional couscous salad and swapped the quinoa with the couscous and the result was delish!).

And Grown-Up Girl helped herself to the newest version of sparkling iced tea. She said that the PC Sparkling Green Tea with Honey and Citrus is fantastic — and I’ll have to take her word on it because she drank it all!
PC’s Summer Insider Report has delivered a great array of new products and many of them make truly great staycation snack food!

Mmmm…yes, we love quinoa in salads here! I find the flavour overpowering when it is alone on the plate as a side, but mixed into a bunch of veggies, it is perfect!

I’ve never noticed the PC S’Mores Kit, I suppose because I go with my list of needs and I’m off, not really looking since I know where everything is that I want/need. This might be interesting for my son though who loves using his BBQ.
