Rice Krispies Are Giving Back! #treatsfortoys

holiday gift ideas

I think that one of the most important aspects of the holidays is giving back to others (I’ve already been boxing up items for a local children’s gift program where kids from families who may be struggling are able to get items for their family members — isn’t that a great idea?!). I’m always impressed when I hear that a company is giving back and I can help too! Rice Krispies is doing just that and you can participate too!

As families across Canada come together this holiday season, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal treats for toys, rice krispie treatsand The Salvation Army are partnering on the Rice Krispies Treats for Toys holiday program — a fun, new, creative and easy way to share the festive spirit with families in need. From now through December 22, Rice Krispies will donate $20 to The Salvation Army, to a maximum of $30,000, whenever a Canadian uploads a photo of toy-shaped treat using Rice Krispies cereal to RiceKrispies.ca. The Salvation Army will use the donations to buy toys for children in need.

I think this is such a fantastic idea from Kellogg’s Rice Krispies and a very generous donation that they are making for each photo to the The Salvation Army to use to buy toys for children in need.
Children will have a lot of fun making these and after the photo they even get to eat them too besides which they also learn to give back to society.
