Electrolux Maximus Review and Giveaway (Canada)

When I am stressed, one of the things that I find relaxing is cleaning (I know – it makes me a bit odd I’m sure but cleaning always makes me feel better!). Our home is a heritage-style cottage. Because of its age, it is both quaint and, unfortunately, dusty! It seems that no matter how often I clean, the dust likes to return with a vengeance!

I’d managed to wear out my previous vacuum cleaner because, realistically, you get what you pay for. The budget vacuum cleaner that I’d bought was no match for the heavy usage needed for this house and it died quickly when I started to use it regularly. What I needed was a vacuum cleaner that could deal with the dirt and dust that comes with our heritage home!

The Electrolux Maximus turned out to be just what I needed! When the Maximus arrived, it was really easy to put together which my husband appreciated because it made it easy to use it right away! I chose a canister model, rather than an upright vacuum, because I thought it would work better with all the odd little nooks and corners in our home and it turned out that was the right choice! With the Maximus, the caddy tool made it easy to get into hard-to-reach areas and maximize the cleaning power of this vacuum. If that wasn’t enough, I found the telescopic wand really helpful in cleaning all areas of our home and the adjustable floor nozzle which allows me to use the Maximus to clean both the carpeted areas of our home as well as the hard floors with ease.

In addition to gathering up all the bits of dust and dirt with HEPA filter (which made a huge difference in the air the house!), I also appreciate the fact that the Maximus is easy to move and quiet. With large coated wheels, this canister vacuum is easy to move around the house and I didn’t have to worry about damaging the floors in the process. I was also really surprised at how quiet the Maximus is! I’m used to very loud vacuum cleaners and I appreciated the fact that it is so quiet that I could actually listen to the tv when vacuuming at the same time!

While it may be a bit odd to be in love with a vacuum cleaner, I truly am! Rather than dreading the task of vacuuming, it is now something that I’m doing every couple of days because the Electrolux Maximus has made it so easy!
