iQ Cleaning Products Review and Giveaway (Canada)

As I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been a cleaning machine lately! Over the years, I’ve tried more products than I care to remember and I’m always on the lookout for products that work really well. In addition, I’ve become more conscious of environmentally-friendly products. In my mind, the ideal product is one that is environmentally-friendly, works well and smells great. A great price is also a real selling point as well because I’m always looking for ways to save money around the home as well.

I must admit, I’d actually resigned myself to the fact that I’d never find a product that would meet my criteria and then I was introduced to iQ products! Not only are iQ products environmentally-friendly, they also clean well, smell good and are reasonably priced! If that wasn’t enough, I was even more excited to learn that iQ products are also Canadian (GO CANADA!).

When I received my iQ products, I had the chance to try 3 different products – All Purpose cleaner, Bathroom cleaner and Glass cleaner. I quickly learned how iQ’s products are environmentally friendly. iQ uses a concentrate REFill cartridge that allows you to refill and reuse your iQ cleaner bottle to cut out 80% of the packaging waste. This means less waste, less pollution and a smaller carbon footprint!

I also learned that using iQ products is quick and easy! All you have to do it fill the reuseable bottle to the fill line, place the REFill cartridge in the top of the bottle (it sits on the lip of the bottle) and then place the spray tube which is attached to the nozzle through the hole in the middle of the REFill cartridge. Once you’ve tightened the top and given it a gentle shake, it is ready to use. It really is that easy!

I decided that I’d give all parts of my house a good cleaning with iQ to see how well the different products worked. The first area that I attacked was the bathroom. I always find myself battling with the sink because I like it to be gleaming and it generally takes a lot of elbow grease to make it happen. With iQ Bathroom cleaner , the sink was clean and bright in a matter of moments. I also discovered that I LOVE the scent – the Nectarine Plum scent made the bathroom smell great!

I also the windows in my front door a cleaning with the Glass cleaner. The windows were streak-free (which I don’t find is the case with many other window cleaners I’ve tried in the past) and, again the scent (this time Bamboo Berry) is wonderful and fresh.

Finally, I cleaned all my counters in the kitchen using the All Purpose cleaner. When I discovered how well the All Purpose cleaner works, I decided to tackle the area behind the stovetop which tends to be a magnet for grease. I was delighted to find that the All Purpose cleaner quickly attacked this grimy area and it was clean in no time!

After trying out these products, I wondered about how much they would cost because excellent products sometimes come with a high pricetag. In the case of iQ, however, the cost is actually cheaper! REFill technology, the re-useable bottle concept and the fact that iQ costs 25% less than traditional cleaners. For me, that was the final tick in the box of list of needs for cleaning products. I’ve checked out where I can buy iQ products and I’ve already planned to get more once I’ve used the items I have. I’d also like to try the Floor cleaner and see how well it works.
