Diane Lai Skincare Review and Giveaway (Canada)

Sensitive skin is an issue that is prevalent in my family – my mom has eczema, as done one of my girls. While I don’t have skincare issues that are that extreme, I do have to be careful about the products that I use because my skin will react quickly and harshly to the wrong type of products!

When I heard about Diane Lai products, I was interested in finding out how well they worked and if they were, indeed, appropriate for my sensitive skin. Described as a “an independent skin care company focused on all natural ingredients ideal for adults, infants, toddlers and anyone with highly sensitive skin”, this line of skincare products grew out of a very personal need when the company’s founder learned that her son needed special skincare products and she realized the need that others would have for similar types of products. According to the Diane Lai website, “Our mission is to create a natural and inspiring product range that offers quality with exceptional service.”

I received 2 different products to try: Rejuvenate Daily Moisturizer and Fresh Daily Body Wash.  Because of my own sensitive skin issues, I’d stopped trying to find a daily moisturizer a number of years ago because my skin would either red and blotchy when I used other products or I found the products to be so greasy that they would sit on my skin and felt awful. Before trying Rejuvenate Daily Moisturizer on my face, I tested it on the top of my hand (because, realistically, my hands are starting to show their age as well!). I found Rejuvenate to be non-greasy and over a few days it made my hands feel softer and actually has helped to heal a patch on my finger that is always drying and cracking! I’m now using Rejuvenate as a facial moisturizer as well and it has really been making my face feel more supple.

The Fresh Daily Body Wash is another product that I’ve discovered that I really enjoy. Made with Organic Shea Butter Lavender Oil, Pomegranate Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Pine Bark Extract, Green Team Leaf Extract and Ginseng Root Extract, in the few weeks that I’ve been using it I have found that my skin feels softer and smoother all over! The only thing I’ve found about Fresh Daily Body Wash is the lavender scent. While both products are scented with lavender, I don’t find that I smell it in Rejuvenate but I find the scent stronger in the Fresh Daily Body Wash. That being said, many people love lavender so I think it is just a matter of scent preferences!

Overall, I’m really impressed with both the Rejuvenate Daily Moisturizer and Fresh Daily Body Wash from Diane Lai. The products range in price from $14 for the Body Wash to $45 for Rejuvenate and, for my sensitive skin, they are well worth the price!
