Master Lock allows you to take your security with you! Review and Giveaway (Canada)

I’ve been using Master Lock products since I was in junior high. I remember my first combination lock (which made me feel like SUCH a grown-up!) was a MasterLock. Since that time, I’ve owned many different Master Lock products, including a locked cashbox to keep valuables safe at home. Which got me thinking – how do I keep my valuables safe when I’m on the move?

Master Lock had the same idea which is the inspiration for their new Set-Your-Own-Combination Portable Safe and I was keen to try out this portable product to see how it worked.

When it arrived, the first thing I found that I liked was the size of the Portable Safe. I was worried that it would be too big to carry around comfortably but I quickly discovered that it fits easily into my satchel bag without taking up too much space! It’s also quite lightweight, so I can carry it without worrying about it dragging me down! It is large enough, however, to allow me to put in my camera, mp3 player and my credit cards so it is the perfect size for me.

I also noticed that the Portable Safe has a padded interior that I learned is made of shock absorbing foam. I like this feature because I don’t have to worry about the items inside bouncing around and getting damage because the lining will protect it (I also don’t have worry about my sunglasses getting scratched, which I appreciate!). Because the Portable Safe is also waterproof, I know I can take it with me in all types of weather and I won’t have to worry about my valuables getting wet.

I was curious to see if it would be easy to set the lock. I followed the instructions and discovered that I could easily set the lock. I appreciated the fact that I could set my own combination because I am getting older so it makes my life easier if I don’t have one more random number to remember!

While I have yet to try this feature, the Portable Safe also features a “Lock Up & Lock Down” feature. With a cable that is connected to the Portable Safe, you can lock up your valuables with the cable wrapped tightly to the safe or wrapped securely around a fixed object.

With so many different functions and uses, I’m really impressed with the Master Lock Set-Your-Own-Combination Portable Safe.  You can purchase the Master Lock Portable Safe at Walmart and Staples. It comes in gray or white and sells for $24.99 – a great value for peace of mind!
