La Crème Cow Quick Giveaway (Canada)

Cheese is hot commodity at my house and, for me personally, one of my biggest temptations – I’d happily eat a huge chunk of cheese every day! With that in mind, I was interested in trying La Crème Cow spreadable snack cheeses! Because they are individually wrapped, I thought they might be a perfect way to enjoy cheese but also control the portions that I eat!

I learned that La Crème Cow is available in 3 different flavours – Original, Light and Parmesan and Peppercorn. When I checked out the flavours, I quickly discovered that I liked them all! The Original flavour, as well as the Parmesan and Peppercorn, have only 50 calories per wedge, while the Light flavour has only 30 calories! I found that the Light flavour has a slightly sweeter taste, which I particularly enjoyed (I love sweet things!)

I had planned to have some friends over to try them out, but the girls got them first! They wanted a snack and I thought it would be a great choice because they are big fans of cheese as well (must be a family trait!). Once they tried one of the Original flavour pieces, they wanted to keep on eating them! Little One actually turned to me and stated, “I think we would like to eat them all” – at which point I told her we’d eat them but we were NOT going to eat them all right now!

While the girls loved eating pieces of La Crème Cow on their own and spread on crackers (as did I), I also wanted to try them with various toppings and in recipes to see how they would taste. My favourite? I really enjoyed La Crème Cow Light on 1/2 a toasted English muffin topped with red pepper jelly (and, with a total of only 140 calories it is a great healthy snack!).

And the favoured recipe? Miss Eight said she really liked addition of the La Crème Cow Parmesan and Peppercorn to her scrambled eggs! I cut the wedges into small pieces and discovered it melted really well (because of its smooth and creamy texture) and provided great flavour to the omelet!

La Crème Cow spreadable snack cheeses can be found in the dairy section of your local Loblaws or Metro grocery stores nationwide. The Original sells for about $5.49 (for 12 wedges) while both the Light and Parmesan and Peppercorn flavours sell for about $2.99 (for 6 wedges).
