NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Review and Giveaway (Canada)

Coffee is a hot commodity in my home and, as such, I’m always on the hunt for something to make our favourite beverage better! Our coffee brand of choice has always been Nescafé (we generally have both a jar of Nescafé instant coffee and a tin of Nescafé for our coffee maker in our house at any given time), so I was really looking forward to trying out the Nescafé Dolce Gusto!

I received a Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo to try and the results were excellent! While there are aren’t as many different varieties are some other machines on the market, the fact that the coffee was Nescafé makes up for it in my opinion! The result is a rich and flavourful product that exceeded the other coffee I make at home because I didn’t have to worry about measuring things out properly!

The other thing I like about the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo is its size! Because our counterspace is limited, a small unit is perfect for us! The Piccolo is the most compact machine available and is a great option for apartment dwellers (our people with limited counter space like us!), students (studying late and living in smaller quarters) or beginning coffee drinkers that will appreciate the smaller serving size of the Piccolo.

Some other benefits of all the Nescafé Dolce Gusto machines are:

its professional-level 15-bar pressure system (similar to coffeehouse machines) which helps to ensure that every cup is perfect with a foamy froth, rich crèma and luxurious flavor;
the unique patented Custom Control Lever puts you in control to customize your coffee’s strength and mixture;
The exclusive Thermoblock technology heats the water fresh every time, in less than one minute.

The only thing I would like better would be if the Piccolo did have a larger serving option. I absolutely love coffee and would prefer a larger serving! That being said, I do enjoy using it when I’m having a small cup before I head off to work in the morning and know I won’t be drinking a large amount of coffee (rather than wasting an entire pot!).

I was out shopping yesterday and discovered that you can buy a number of varieties of flavours at both Walmart and The Bay as well as many other stores nationwide. I’m looking forward to picking up the Cappuccino Skinny and the Caramel Latte Macchiato to try them out!
