Rubbermaid Giveaway (Canada)

As you know, I’ve been making a lot of changes to our lifestyle to allow us to help save money while also eating healthy and developing recipes.

Growing up, my parents always reused plastic containers – they would wash out containers that held margarine, yogurt, ice cream and more and then stack them all in the cupboards for us to use. It drove me crazy! I could never find the bottoms that matched the tops and I was forever searching for something that my mom said “was there before” but was nowhere to be found! I swore I was never going to use this system because it took up tonnes of cupboard space and was completely chaotic!

Once I had my own home, I put together a set of Rubbermaid containers because I find Rubbermaid containers are durable and long-lasting! I found a great deal on some sets and knew I’d never have to worry about trying to match tops and bottoms again!

These days, with a limited amount of cupboard space in the kitchen, I wanted to find an option that would allow me the most flexibility. Enter the new Rubbermaid Glass with Easy Find Lids!

What I like most about these containers are that they allow me to cook, serve, store and reheat meals all in one – I don’t have to wait for an item to thaw before I can transfer it out of a container to reheat it!

I tried making meatloaf and freezing and in my Rubbermaid Glass container and the results were great! I was able to make the meatloaf, cook it in the container and, once it had cooled, pop the lid on it and put it into the freezer – ready to reheat when we have it for supper!

Also, these containers are great because of their Easy Find Lids organization system! With this system, the lids are attached to each other and to the bottom of containers for storage, so the right lid is always at hand. Because they come in different sizes as well, I was able to nest one inside the other and they take up very little space in my cupboards, which is perfect!
